The Maine Lobstermen are in the fight of their lives due to new rules and regulations. To combat this, they are asking for our assistance by purchasing a “Maine Legacy Box.”
Lobster 207 buys lobster in a “Boat Run,” meaning each box contains a mixture of different-sized lobsters. “You buy them the way we buy them,” with each Boat Run Box containing lobsters in various sizes (Chix, Quarters, Halves & Culls). $10 from each Maine Legacy Box sold will go directly to the Sustainable Maine Fishing Foundation.
“Maine Lobstermen have been fighting for their livelihoods for years, and the Machinists have always supported them in their time of need,” said IAM Eastern Territory General Vice President David Sullivan. “The Lobstermen have a great legacy, and their industry contributes greatly to the state’s economy. Every donation we make will help protect their jobs and others involved in the seafood industry.”
Your donation will help the Sustainable Maine Fishing Foundation, a not-for-profit organization made up of men and women from all facets of the Lobstering Industry. Together, they are dedicated to protecting the Gulf of Maine to advance and preserve the rights of the fishing community.

The Maine Lobstering Union (MLU) is a division of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW) District 4 and the only union-based cooperative in the lobster industry owned and operated by Maine lobstermen. The MLU supports Maine’s lobster community and is committed to the sustainability and safety of Maine’s lobstermen and women and all wildlife that occupy and rely upon the fishery.
